Develop New Skills
- At MônFM, you’ll get to use industry-standard equipment and pick up some useful skills for a career in media. Whether you’re into presenting, producing, marketing, or engineering, we’ve got plenty of roles where you can learn something new.
Gain Useful Work Experience
- A lot of our volunteers say their time at MônFM helped them land jobs in commercial radio, the BBC, TV, and even the health service. You’ll work with different people, gaining lots of experience along the way.

Who we're looking for
No previous experience is necessary! We will provide you with the training and assistance you need.
While we’re happy to help you kick-start your career in media, we are looking for people who want to support our local community. We’re seeking volunteers to attend our community events, assist in raising funds to keep the station on-air, and present shows that our community will find entertaining and useful.
For most roles, you’ll need to be able to travel to our Studios in Llangefni.
You’ll need to adhere to our policies and those laid out by our regulator, Ofcom.
You must be aged 18 or over.
Opportunities at MônFM
Here are just some of the roles available at MônFM. This list is not exhaustive. If you can’t find a role that fits you but would still like to be considered, please get in touch
Radio Presenter
- Present your own show live on MônFM from our studios in Llangefni.
Radio Producer
- Support our presenters by developing show ideas, arranging interviews, editing audio, and overseeing radio shows.
Broadcast Engineer
- Maintain and support the technology at our studios, transmitter sites, and at outside broadcasts.
Journalist
- Gather local news stories and prepare news bulletins for MônFM and our website/app/social media.
Event Team Member
- Represent MônFM at local events, speaking to listeners, sharing information, and helping the outside broadcast team.
Fundraiser
- Help raise funds to keep MônFM on the air.
Caretaker
- Maintain our Llangefni studio building, helping to keep our facilities safe and in good running order.
