Kiri Pritchard-McLean is paying her first ever visit to the Urdd National Eisteddfod - as the festival's president for Thursday.
Originally from Llanbedgroch, the comedienne, writer and broadcaster returned home to Anglesey in 2020 after a spell living in Manchester.
Kiri did not compete in the Urdd Eisteddfod when she was young, but as a new Welsh speaker, she is attending the event for the very first time.
“I’m very envious of the children and young people who get to take part in the Urdd – I love all kinds of performing", she said.
"I’m also so proud to be the President of the Day at Eisteddfod yr Urdd Ynys Môn 2026 and feel very lucky to see all the talent and to celebrate Welsh culture."
Mae Urdd Gobaith Cymru wedi diolch o galon i'r Ynys Môn am estyn croeso cynnes i'r miloedd sydd wedi heidio i fwynhau a chystadlu ar faes prifwyl ieuenctid Cymru.
Congratulations to everyone from Anglesey and Gwynedd who took part in the Urdd National Eisteddfod at Mona - here's a full results rundown from the stage competitions.
