Voters in Bangor Conwy Môn who are blind or partially sighted will be able to use an audio ballot paper at the upcoming Senedd election.
Conwy County Council, which is overseeing the polls in the new constituency, says it will be available at every polling station in the region on Thursday 7th May.
Voters will be able to scan a QR code, with help from polling staff, which takes the voter to a bespoke audio description of all parties and candidates standing for election in Bangor Conwy Môn.
The audio recording is used in conjunction with the ballot paper overlay, and the voter hears which party is lined up with which numbered box and navigate to the correct box using the embossed and braille numbers alongside them.
If someone isn’t able to use the digital option, polling station staff will be on hand to assist and can read the ballot paper out to voters.
The audio description for Bangor Conwy Môn can be found on Youtube to help those with postal votes.
