A unique exhibition highlighting Anglesey's archaelogical heritage has opened in Llangefni.
The only hoard of Iron Age gold coins ever to be found in Wales forms part of the Oriel Môn collection going on show as part of the Trysor (Treasure) exhibit.
Many of the objects featured, dating from Neolithic to the Medieval ages, are on public display for the first time - including newly uncovered artefacts from Llyn Cerrig Bach, one of the UK's most significant archaelogical sites.

Oriel Môn says the exhibition, which runs until April next year, will offer visitors "a rare and compelling opportunity" to engage with the island's "rich and varied past", including the stories behind the objects and the people who once lived on Anglesey.

Kelly Parry, senior manager, said: "Through a fascinating variety of objects discovered on Anglesey, Trysor explores the idea of treasure in its broadest sense - from legally defined treasure finds to objects that are rare, beautiful, and meaningful."
"This exhibition also celebrates the strength and growing significance of Oriel Môn’s archaeology collection, as new discoveries continue to transform our understanding of Anglesey’s rich history."
The Trysor exhibition is open at Oriel Môn every Tuesday to Sunday from 10am-5pm and on Bank Holiday Mondays until 4th April 2027. Admission is free.
