Police have imposed a temporary closure order on a house in Bangor following concerns over anti-social behaviour.

Neighbourhood officers issued the notice on an address in the Llys Mair area of the city on Tuesday, which means it cannot be occupied or accessed without permission.

North Wales Police said it followed reports and evidence of behaviour which had caused nuisance, alarm and distress to local residents.

District Inspector Jamie Owens said: "This is a positive step forward in our ongoing efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour in the Llys Mair area."

"We remain committed to working closely with our partners to disrupt anti-social behaviour and improve the quality of life for local residents."

"I would like to thank members of the community who have reported concerns and provided information to support this action."

The closure order is an interim measure and police will be seeking a further extension through the courts.
