A Bangor man convicted of historic child sex abuse has been jailed for fifteen years.
Timothy Jones was found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with a girl and assaut by penetration and touching.
Jones (49) will also serve a further year on an extended licence and must register as a sex offender indefinitely - he was also given a sexual harm prevention order for 25 years.
Following sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court earlier this month, DS Geraint Jones of North Wales Police said: "Jones’ despicable actions will impact the victim for the rest of her life."
"I hope this sentence finally allows her some closure to move forward with her life."
"We will leave no stone unturned when investigating those who seek to do harm to vulnerable members of our society. Any victim of sexual abuse is encouraged to come forward with the confidence that they will be heard and supported."
