20 people were rescued from a beach near Rhosneigr after they were nearly caught out by the tide ahead of Storm Dave.
Rhosenigr coastguards were called out to an area near Porth Trecastell (Cable Bay) where campers had gathered on a beach in a small cove on Saturday.
The mobile team said they were "unaware of the potential dangers of being cut off by the incoming tide" and the recent weather warnings for strong winds.
A spokesperson added: "It was quickly noticed upon arrival that the incoming tide had almost reached their only access and egress route out to safety and contact was immediately made with the group to give them advice on their current situation and weather warnings etc."
"They all thankfully took our advice on board and decided to leave the cove until a nicer day when the weather is calmer."
Gusts of 93mph were recorded late on Saturday night near Capel Curig as an orange warning for strong winds came into force across Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy, which ended at 3am on Sunday.
Hundreds of homes across the region were hit by power cuts although most have since been restored, while the A55 Britannia Bridge was closed to high sided vehicles for a time. A 30mph place remains in place between junctions 8 and 9 (Llanfair PG to Treborth).
Irish Ferries also cancelled its afternoon and evening sailings between Holyhead and Dublin.
