A Bethesda man who repeatedly assaulted and controlled a woman has been jailed.
North Wales Police said Callum O'Marah subjected her to a "continuous stream of domestic abuse".
The 28 year-old from Gwernydd pleaded guilty to coercive and controlling behaviour and two counts of intentional strangulation.
O'Marah had controlled how his victim used her phone and social media.
He had punched, slapped and strangled her on multiple occasions, and at one point, threatened to share an intimate photograph.
O'Marah was told not to contact her after he was arrested - but he continued to call and message her every day.
At Mold Crown Court, he was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison and put on a ten year restraining order to protect his victim.
Following sentencing on Monday, Amy Hall-Jones, a civilian investigator with North Wales Police, said: "O’Marah subjected his victim to a series of violent assaults and threatening behaviour that caused her to live in fear."
"I have no doubt these incidents will have a long-lasting effect on her life going forwards, but I hope she is reassured by the sentence imposed."
"Incidents of this kind are difficult to report but I would reassure victims that we will listen to you, support you and fully investigate all reports."
"We remain determined to tackle violence against women and girls, and we will not stop in our efforts to bring perpetrators to justice."
