Local businesses in Llangefni are preparing to hold a beach party in the town centre this weekend.
The Llan y Môr festival, taking place in the Town Hall car park on Saturday (13th June), has been organised by the Siopau Llangefni group representing independent retailers.
Entry is free with activities and entertainment taking place throughout the day, including sandcastle, silly shirt and 'Llan Gran' competitions, along with a duck race on the River Cefni, puppet show, bouncy castles, funfair rides and face painting.
MônFM will be providing music throughout the day with food and refreshments on site, including bars, vans and Mr Holt's Mônuts, while a craft fair will also be held in the town hall.
Organisers are also encouraging visitors to bring their own deckchairs and to join the duck race (4pm start) by buying a duck for £2 from one of six participating businesses in Llangefni - Cain, The Coffee Hut, Sew Picturesque, Bwtîc MD, J Thomas Butchers and Gwalia Deli.
Llan y Môr takes place from 11am-7pm and entry is free. The Town Hall car park will be closed from 4pm on Friday until Sunday morning to allow the festival to be set up and derigged.
