A burglar made off with over £4000 worth of copper cables from a BT exchange in Porthmadog.
Thomas Keenan from Walsall was one of three people who broke into the exchange on the High Street in May 2023 and stole six wooden drums containing copper cabling.
The 24 year-old pleaded guilty to burglary and was jailed for thirteen months.
Following sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday, PC Stephen Jones of North Wales Police: "Copper theft is not a victimless crime and has real-life impacts on businesses and members of the community."
"We take reports of burglary seriously and will pursue any perpetrators to bring them to justice."
