Police believe several people may have vital clues to the disappearance of a 22 year-old woman a week ago.

CCTV pictures have been released in the search for Gwenno Epharim, who was last seen in the Upper Bangor area on Monday 28th July.

Emergency services, including lifeboats and the Coastguard helicopter have been combing the Menai Strait, where it's believed Gwenno may have entered the water.

Personal items, thought to belong to her, were discovered on the Menai Suspension Bridge the following morning.

Police say they are confident Gwenno had reached the bridge shortly before 11.10pm on the night she disappeared.

Chief Inspector Stephen Pawson from North Wales Police said: "Extensive searches remain underway in the Menai Strait area, and we continue to provide support to Gwenno’s family during this extremely difficult time."

"Having analysed CCTV footage, we are confident that Gwenno reached the Menai Suspension Bridge shortly before 11:10pm."

"This footage also captures a female pedestrian (pictured) crossing on the opposite side of the bridge at that time. We’re appealing for this individual to come forward and assist with the investigation."

"We’re also keen to speak with a cyclist and the drivers of three cars, who were all seen travelling across the bridge at around the same time."

"These vehicles included a Silver Audi TT, a black Skoda Octavia, and a grey BMW 116."

"We are grateful to all who have responded to our prior requests for information, and to those who have assisted in our investigation to date."

On the night she went missing, Gwenno was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey hoodie, and black trainers.

The Coastguard helicopter from Caernarfon was involved in the initial search effort last week, along with RNLI lifeboats from Beaumaris and Moelfre and mobile Coastguard teams from the Bangor, Llandwrog and Penmon areas.

Anyone with information should contact North Wales Police on 101 or via the website, quoting iTrace reference no. 51505.
