
Caernarfon Town are set to play their home games in Llandudno next season.
The Cymru Premier club has confirmed it’s planning to play fixtures at Maesdu Park, while renovation work is carried out at The Oval.
But in a statement on a Thursday night, a Cofis spokesperson said they were still waiting for planning permission for work to begin, which they hope will be imminent.
The club are also due to play three pre-season fixtures at Maesdu Park next month.
A club spokesperson said: “Following the release of our pre-season fixture schedule, we can confirm that we are still awaiting planning permission for the renovation work to the Oval, although we hope that this is imminent.”
“For the duration of the period of the work at our ground, we will be playing all our home fixtures at Llandudno.”
”We look forward to confirming everything soon and want to thank all the parties who have helped us reach this point for their assistance and also Llandudno Football Club who have been extremely helpful in all our discussions.”
Caernarfon begin their pre-season preparations away at Sandbach United on Saturday 5th July (2.30ko) followed by a ‘home’ clash against Cymru North club Llandudno a week later (5.30 ko).
Other fixtures include home games against Aberystwyth Town on 19th July (2pm) and Wythenshawe Town on 26th July (2.30) with a Gwynedd derby at Porthmadog on Tuesday 22nd July (7.30 ko).
Caernarfon begin their season with a second round tie against Colwyn Bay in the Nathaniel MG Cup on the opening weekend of August.
