Cyngor Gwynedd says it wants to help eliminate violence against women and girls by encouraging positive behaviour.
The council is marking International White Ribbon Day - and the start of a global awareness week for the campaign to educate men and boys about bringing an end to violence against women.
A special flag is also being flown outside the council's Caernarfon headquarters.
This year, the White Ribbon campaign aims to encourage men to make themselves accountable to women and to each other in order to transform harmful cultures.
Cllr Menna Trenholme, cabinet member for human resources, said: "Cyngor Gwynedd has a reputation for being a good place to work with a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Having this accreditation shows that we take the issue of violence against women seriously and use our position to influence and make a difference internally and externally."
The council is also recognised as a White Ribbon accredited organisation and is responsible for the health and wellbeing of both its staff and the wider community.
