Anglesey Council says it's disappointed after losing a legal challenge over a controversial solar farm development.
Alaw Môn was given the go ahead by the Welsh Government in August, despite opposition from both the public and the local authority.
Developers Enso Energy are set to install solar panels across 268 hectares of agricultural land between Llantrisant and Llanerchymedd.
Last October, the council voted in favour of legal action - but the following month, the High Court in Cardiff rejected leave to seek a judicial review.
A further hearing was held in Wrexham on Friday, but the council said it had lost an appeal to overturn the decision.
Council leader Gary Pritchard said there were "no more...avenues" open to the council but it accepted the ruling, which he described as "extremely disappointing".
He added: "The development has been permitted by the Welsh Government contrary to its own policy on the use of best and most versatile agricultural land. The proposed development continues to create a great deal of worry in our communities."
Developers Enso Energy say the scheme, which will produce 160 MW from a site near Llyn Alaw, will provide enough energy to power homes across the island.
But Plaid Cymru said there was no question that plans "clearly contradicts" Welsh Government policy on protecting "best and most versatile" land.
Ynys Môn MP Llinos Medi and Ynys Môn MS Rhun ap Iorwerth said they were very disappointed by the decision.
In a joint statement, they said: "Local residents have repeatedly expressed their opposition to this development, due to its damaging impact on our landscapes and on the island’s agricultural and tourism sectors, while offering little in terms of jobs or wider economic benefit."
"We will continue to make the case that other industrial, exploitative solar projects currently going through the planning system on the island should be rejected, and that we should focus instead on increasing the generation of renewable energy in other ways that bring community benefits and create jobs, as well as helping the environment."
MônFM has contacted developers Esso Energy for a response.
