An inquest has opened after a missing Irish woman was found dead on the beach at Criccieth.
The body of Elizabeth Dunne was discovered on Easter Saturday (4th April), just over two weeks after she was reported missing from the village of Glendalough, County Wicklow.
Gardai confirmed on Wednesday that the search for the 53 year-old had been stood down.
North West Wales coroner Kate Robertson told the hearing in Caernarfon that Ms Dunne was identified using DNA testing after her body was discovered by a member of the public.
An investigation into the cause of death is continuing but the coroner said she had "sufficient reason to suspect" it was unnatural.
The hearing was adjourned until a later date.
