A drug dealer from Bangor has been jailed after police seized over £250,000 worth of cocaine.
Craig Lloyd (38) was arrested after he was caught by patrol officers riding an illegal e-bike on the High Street earlier this month.
Police found a box containing 2kg worth of cocaine, labelled with his name and address, when they searched his car and his home in Maesgeirchen.
Caernarfon Crown Court heard Lloyd had tried to flee officers when he was spotted on the e-bike, but officers sprayed it with smart tag forensic spray, which is designed to safely and discreetly mark offenders for later identification.
The smart tag solution with a unique forensic code involving the canister it was sprayed from, linked Lloyd and the e-bike to the offence.
He was found to be carrying cocaine and cash at the time of his arrest.

Lloyd pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing cocaine with intent to supply, possessing large amounts of cash and a number of driving offences and was sentenced to seven years and a month.
After sentencing on Friday, District Inspector Jamie Owens from North Wales Police said: "This is an excellent result for the community, and today’s sentence sends a clear message that such activity will not be tolerated."
"Our neighbourhood policing team remains committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local people. We will continue to proactively stop and search any individual suspected of drug supply to protect vulnerable community members."
Inspector Owens added that officers have begun trialling the use of smart tag spray in an effort to crackdown on the use of illegal e-bikes in Gwynedd.
"These vehicles are frequently linked to drug supply, theft, and anti-social behaviour and pose serious risks to pedestrians, road users, and the riders themselves."
"The tool can safely and discreetly mark offenders for later identification. The forensic marker can later be linked directly to the incident, providing robust evidential support for further action."
