Detectives are appealing for dashcam footage following a police chase between Ogwen and Bangor.

Officers tried to stop a red Volkswagen Polo GTI on the A5 at Ogwen at around 12.30pm on Wednesday lunchtime.

It led to a pursuit along the A5 from Bethesda towards Bangor, passing the entrance to the Llandegai industrial estate and the crematorium, before the Polo turned left into Maesgeirchen and came to a stop.

Later that afternoon, the driver - believed to be wanted suspect Jerry Berry - was spotted and arrested by officers on Bangor High Street.

The 39 year-old from Wrexham is being questioned on suspicion of multiple offences including burglary and theft.

Officers carried out a roadblock and searched vehicles entering and leaving the city as part of their efforts to track him down.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "As part of ongoing enquiries, we are keen to hear from anyone with any dash cam or CCTV footage of the pursuit to contact us."

Anyone with information should call 101 or use the live web chat, quoting reference no. 25000586133.
