A by-election will be held later this month for the vacant Bro'r Llynnoedd seat on Anglesey Council.

Four candidates have been confirmed for the poll on Thursday 30th July, which was triggered by the sudden death of Plaid Cymru councillor Ken Taylor in May.

Nominations closed on Friday afternoon and the candidates are:

  • Nick Bounds - Welsh Green Party
  • Margaret Fredericka John - Welsh Conservatives
  • Richard John Jones - Reform UK Wales
  • Jon Paul Taylor - Plaid Cymru

Polls on the day will be open between 7am and 10am with the result expected shortly afterwards.

Meanwhile, six candidates will be standing in next Thursday's by-election for a vacant Cyngor Gwynedd seat in the Llanrug ward.
