A grandfather killed after he was hit by a van on the Caernarfon bypass has been named.
A man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been bailed while investigations continue.
Paying tribute in a statement via police, Mr Jones' family said: "We are absolutely devastated at the loss of a beloved husband, father and grandfather."
"As a family, we would like to thank the emergency services and all others involved in trying to help Geraint on the night of Sunday, 9 November."
"We would also like to thank everyone for the kind messages of love and support at this sad time."
"Geraint leaves a wife, Mary, sons Richard and Patrick, and grandchildren Ella, Leo and Isaac."
The coroner for North West Wales has been informed and an inquest is expected to be held in due course.
The road remained closed between Bontnewydd and the Llanwnda roundabout for several hours following the collision.
