A new fund has been launched for improving commercial properties in Bangor and Pwllheli.
Property owners based in Bangor city centre and Pwllheli town centre can apply for grants of between £2,500 and £10,000 - up to 70% of the cost of the work.
Cyngor Gwynedd says it will support improvements to the exterior parts of the building, including shop fronts, signage, windows and doors.
The funding is being provided by the UK Government's Pride in Place scheme as part of work to support local economies and make town and city centres more attractive to businesses, residents and visitors.
Cllr Medwyn Hughes, cabinet member for the economy, said: "The image of buildings and shop-fronts plays an important part in creating attractive and lively town centres, and ensuring prosperous town centres which are full of energy for residents and visitors to Gwynedd is a priority for us."
"Through this fund we are offering support for owners to make external improvements that will contribute towards the regeneration of Bangor and Pwllheli."
"Our aim is to help create town centres that reflect confidence and a positive future, despite some of the economic challenges they have faced recently."
Applications are now open on the Cyngor Gwynedd website until 5pm on Monday 18th May.
Work on the projects must be completed by the end of the year and only commerical properties in the main commercial areas are eligible to apply.
