A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident in Holyhead.
North Wales Police say officers identified and located a suspect following reports of a disturbance at just before 5pm on Wednesday.
He remains in custody but there are no further details at the moment.
Detectives say the incident has caused "significant concern" in the community and they are urging the public to avoid speculation about the circumstances on social media while their investigation continues.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We understand this incident has caused significant concern in the community and would reassure residents that we take reports of this nature seriously."
"As this is now a live investigation, we urge members of the public not to speculate about the circumstances of the incident online to allow our enquiries to continue."
