Team Ynys Môn have signed off from the 2025 Island Games on Orkney with two silver medals on the final day of competition.

For the second Games running, Team Môn missed out on gold in the men's football after a 3-1 defeat to Bermuda in the final.

Following a half-hour delay at the Kirkwall Grammar School, Bermuda - who fielded their national under 23s squad - opened up a two-goal lead inside the opening half hour through Jace Donawa (13') and Mason Christian (31').

Môn hit back via Sam Jones shortly before the hour mark, but their hopes of forcing extra time were dashed when Andrew Armstrong bagged Bermuda's third in stoppage time.

Bermuda become the first island to win the men's and women's football Gold in Games history, while Môn have to settle for silver, as per their 2023 defeat to Jersey in the men's final in Guernsey.

The Isle of Man take home bronze following their 3-2 win over Jersey in the third place play-off.

Elsewhere, the final action on the athletics track saw Môn clinch silver in the final of the men's 4x100m relay.

Cai Jones, Zac Price, Ewan Jones and Cameron Jones clinched runners up spot to Jersey in a time of 42.26 seconds with the Isle of Man taking bronze.

Team Môn finish the Games with a medal haul of two golds - both from the track - five silver and a bronze as attention turns to the Faroe Islands in 2027.

Ynys Môn was originally due to host the next Games - already delayed by two years - but the island withdrew in December 2023, blaming financial pressures due to the Covid pandemic.
