A man has been jailed for six months after he was caught carrying a knife in Llangefni town centre.
Police cornered the man in the Mill Street car park after concerns were raised by members of the public last month.
Bodycam footage showed him being chased down after fleeing officers and tasered outside the public toilets, where the knife was quickly seized.
The man was later charged with possessing a knife in a public place and sentenced to 26 weeks in prison.
The incident happened during Operation Spectre, a national week of action against knife crime supported by North Wales Police.
District Inspector Wayne Francis said: "I would like to thank those who reported their concerns about this man. We will respond immediately to reports of anyone in possessions of weapons in our town centres and communities."
"Carrying a knife doesn’t protect you - it puts you and those around you at greater risk of harm."
"I urge anyone with information about individuals having knives or other weapons to report this to the police or anonymously via Crimestoppers."
