An estate agency in Holyhead has received a makeover as part of an ongoing regeneration scheme.

Wiliams & Goodwin on Stanley Street is among a number of historic buildings and shopfronts being restored by the Holyhead Townscape Heritage programme.

The work has restored the building's frontage to reflect its original appearance from around 100 years ago, while the company has also invested in a new modern look to the interior.

Williams & Goodwin director Melfyn Williams said the regeneration scheme has given the town a renewed confidence and much needed boost.

"Seeing the shopfront restored to its original character has made a real difference, and we're delighted to have been part of this regeneration work."

"The investment in the town is helping to create a more attractive environment and has already started to encourage more people to visit and spend time here."

"It has also given businesses like ours confidence to continue investing in Holyhead and supporting the local community."

The town centre regeneration is one of a number of projects funded by the UK Government and the National Lottery Heritage Fund through Anglesey Council.

Around £3.25m is being spent on the Holyhead Townscape Heritage programme in an effort to attract more visitors and encourage further investment.

Williams and Goodwin - which marks its 25th anniversary this year - employs five full-time staff in Holyhead, where its office is also shared by a branch of Principality, the only remaining building society in the town.

Work is continuing on a number of properties across the town centre as part of the programme.
