Prosecutors will seek a retrial against a man accused of raping a woman during the National Eisteddfod at Boduan, near Pwllheli.
Jones (27) of Capel Curig denied four charges including deliberate strangulation and assault by penetration.
At Mold Crown Court on Friday, a barrister representing the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed it would seek a new trial.
The case is expected to be heard at Caernarfon Crown Court in June next year.
Jones has been released on bail.
