A man has been questioned after fuel was stolen from a garage in Valley.
Police were called to a petrol station on London Road at just before midnight on Sunday, after a customer allegedly made off without paying.
The vehicle was tracked down a short time later and a 21 year-old man from the Cambridge area was arrested.
Detectives said the vehicle was also seized because it was not insured.
It follows a recent spike in petrol thefts and so-called 'drive off' incidents in the wake of the Middle East conflict.
District Support Sergeant Matt Bentley from North Wales Police said: "Fuel theft places a significant strain on businesses as well impacting the staff that work at the forecourts."
"We are continuing to take a proactive approach to tackling this issue, working to identify offenders, disrupt repeat behaviour and ensure those responsible are held to account."
