
A man has died following a house fire in Caernarfon.
Crews discovered his body after they were called to an address on Lon Y Bryn at around 3.45pm on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the man has not yet been formally identifed although his next of kin have been informed, along with the local coroner.
A joint investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said four crews from Caernarfon, Bangor, Holyhead and Llanberis attended the scene.
Detective Inspector Chris Burrow from North Wales Police said: "Our thoughts remain with the man’s family, who although has not been formally identified, are being supported by officers."
"A joint investigation with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service has been launched to establish the cause of the fire, and the coroner has been made aware."
A Fire Service spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this very difficult time."
