A man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Holyhead after grooming her online has been jailed for six years.

Caernarfon Crown Court heard Callum Jaxon occasionally collected the 15 year-old from school in his car when they met up between March and April 2025.

The 31 year-old, originally from Merseyside, pleaded guilty to six charges including two counts of sexual assault and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

Jaxon began meeting the girl after speaking to her online - the court heard he regularly discussed having sex with her and used sexualised language, despite knowing her age and vulnerability.

On one occasion, he began intensely kissing her chest without her consent - and did it again despite her attempts to push him away, leaving a bruise on her skin. Moments later, he engaged in sexual activity with the victim without her consent.

Several days later, Jaxon asked the girl to remove all messages between them off her phone, warning he may get into trouble if she did not.

Jaxon went onto admit sending a message to arrange to engage in sexual activity with a child, meeting a girl following grooming and engaging in sexual activity with a girl.

He was banned from contacting his victim under a lifetime restraining order.

Following sentencing on Thursday, Detective Constable Leslie Ellis of North Wales Police said: "Jaxon groomed the victim and despite knowing her age and vulnerability, he continued to meet her to pursue her for his own sexual gratification."

"The victim was courageous in coming forward to give her account, which has resulted in Jaxon’s sentence today. We encourage all victims of sexual assault to come forward with the confidence that they will be heard and supported."

"Violence against women and girls will not be tolerated and remains a foremost priority for North Wales Police. We will continue to pursue those responsible and bring them to justice."

Jaxon must also register as a sex offender for life and was given a sexual harm prevention order for ten years.
