Gŵyl Cefni will not take place in 2026, organisers have confirmed.
This year saw the festival celebrate its 25th anniversary - with live music and entertainment, featuring top Welsh bands and artists such as Fleur de Lys, Gwilym, Mared, Morgan Elwy and Cordia.
But the festival committee, which is co-ordinated by Menter Môn, has announced the event will take a year's break to 'develop and look ahead' following a meeting last month.
Organisers said it was a "difficult but necessary decision", but they denied it signals the end of Gŵyl Cefni, which was first held in 2000.
In a statement on Wednesday, they said 2026 would be spent looking for more committee members and volunteers, along with more ways to fund the festival and organise community activities.

Elen Hughes, Menter Môn projects director, said: "We would like to thank everyone who has supported Gŵyl Cefni over the years including our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses, performers, stall holders, visitors, and most importantly, all the people who have been coming to enjoy and celebrate Welsh culture and music."
"We are so proud of the success of the festival. Over the years, it has grown attracting thousands of attendees over a two-day celebration of Welsh music in the town of Llangefni."
"We look forward to returning in 2027 with new energy, ensuring that Gŵyl Cefni continues to celebrate the vibrant culture of our community for years to come."

This year's event - the biggest so far to date - saw live coverage on MônFM, which went onto win Gold for Best Live Event or OB of the Year at the Community Radio Awards in Bradford last weekend.
A Menter Môn spokesperson said Gŵyl Cefni "has grown beyond our expectations in terms of size and popularity and has grown extremely quickly over recent years."
"Although the growth is a source of pride and a tremendous boost to the town during the week of the festival, it also places significantly greater pressure and responsibilities on our team of dedicated volunteers."
The committee says it will consider 2026 as "an opportunity to work more closely with businesses and the local community" to ensure Llangefni "can make the most of the economic benefits of the festivals in 2027 and beyond".
They added they understood volunteers and communities will be giving "a lot of energy and their time" to the Urdd National Eisteddfod, taking place at the Mona showground in May.
