A pensioner has died in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Llanfairpwll.

A local man in his 80s was travelling in a red Peugeot 107 car when it struck a parked pick-up outside the Tyn Lon garage on Holyhead Road at just after 7am on Monday 18th November.

He was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, where he died a week later.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward - and they're keen to find the driver of a silver Volvo 40 which passed the scene of the crash shortly afterwards.

Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “I’m urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision and who is yet to speak to us, to do so as soon as possible."

“We’re also keen to trace the driver of what is believed to be a silver-coloured Volvo 40 which was travelling in the opposite direction shortly after the collision as they may have information that could assist with the ongoing investigation.”

Anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at North Wales Police on 101 or use the live web chat, quoting reference number 24000975895.
