
A man has been jailed for an arson attack at a block of flats in Pentraeth.
Caleb Corr (33) admitted starting a fire on May 13th and trying to stop firefighters from entering the building by possessing a knife.
Police apprehened him before fire crews made the building safe for other reisdents.
Corr, who pleaded guilty to arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered, affray and criminal damage, was sentenced to four years.
Following sentencing at Mold Crown Court, PC Dion Hughes of North Wales Police said: "Corr’s actions during that evening were dangerous and reckless, putting the lives of his fellow residents at risk by starting a deliberate fire."
"It is fortunate that due to the quick actions of other residents that the fire did not spread further or there could have been much more serious consequences."
