Detectives are warning residents to be vigilant following two burglaries in south Gwynedd on Halloween.
North Wales Police say they are keeping an open mind as to whether the break-ins in Prenteg and Morfa Bychan last Saturday afternoon are linked.
An attempted burglary was reported at an address on Cysgod y Coed in Prenteg at around 4pm.
Officers want to speak to a potential witness who is believed to have disturbed two men wearing balaclavas and travelling in a BMW 340 - and walking their dog at the time.
They're appealing for the dog walker to contact North Wales Police on 101, quoting reference no. 26000893842.
At 5.25pm on the same day, a second burglary was reported in Morfa Bychan, where a window was broken to gain entry into a house.
Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Bryn Parc area should contact police, quoting reference no. 26000893648.
