A recruitment drive is underway for new care staff in the Bangor area.

Cyngor Gwynedd is inviting anyone interested in becoming a care or community worker to attend an informal drop-in event next week.

The council is also seeking kitchen staff as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen local care services in the city.

Cllr Dilwyn Morgan, cabinet member for adult social services, said: "Are you kind, empathetic and willing to make a difference in your community"

"Working in the care sector may be the next step in your career. Previous experience is not required – we offer full training, continuous learning opportunities and access to the council's employment benefits package."

"Come along to learn more, meet the team for an informal chat and to find out how to apply for a job in this important sector."

The free event takes place at the Storiel museum on Tuesday 16th September from 10am-5pm and is open to people from every age and experience.
