A Llanystumdwy man who stalked and threatened to assault a woman has been jailed.
Dale Selby was already facing a suspended prison sentence for burglary.
The 37 year-old pleaded guilty to sending threatening and abusive voice messages to the victim after claiming she had sent him money to the wrong bank account.
Mold Crown Court heard Selby had threatened to break down the door of her house and assault both the woman and her husband.
He kept sending threatening voicenotes to the woman, leaving her in fear that violence would be used against her.
A judge sentenced Selby to six months for stalking and activated a suspended two-year prison sentence which he was serving for burglary charges.
He was also banned from contacting his victim under a five-year Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO).
Following sentencing on Tuesday, Inspector Iwan Jones of North Wales Police said: "Selby’s behaviour towards a woman who was trying to help him is disgraceful."
"Threats of violence towards women will not be tolerated and we will continue to ruthlessly pursue those who do not respect the law."
"I urge anyone who experience threats of violence to come forward and seek support. We will listen and investigate your report."
