Môn Actif says this year's summer holiday activity programme was among their most successful to date.

The council-run leisure centre delivered 181 activity sessions in 27 locations across Anglesey, attracting a total of 14,758 attendees, including children, young people and families.

Among the activities held were camps at RAF Valley and Rhosneigr Sports Club, the Plas Newydd Summer of Fun days and support for the Bwyd a Hwyl programme, along with specialist Mencap and Insport sessions and a range of activities at the Anglesey Show at Mona.

Môn Actif said participation levels reflected their commitment to providing accessible opportunities.

Barry Edwards, sports development manager at Anglesey Council, said: "This summer's programme has been another outstanding success, and the figures demonstrate the significant impact that Môn Actif continues to have within communities across Anglesey."

Feedback gathered over the summer suggested 99.6% enjoyed MônActif's activities and many (99.5%) intending to book for the Autumn half term activity programme, for which planning is already underway.

The council said the summer programme had demonstrated "the strength of partnership working" to help create positive experiences while encouraging healthier and more active lifestyles.
