
A 16 year-old boy has been charged with wounding a teenager in Bangor.
Three youths were arrested following an incident on Llandegai Road on Tuesday morning, which left another teenager seriously injured.
The 16 year-old, who cannot be named due to his age, is accused of wounding with intent and possessing a bladed article in a public place. He is due to appear at Llandudno Magistrates Court.
Police said the injured youth remains in a serious condition at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Detectives are urging the public not to share footage of the alleged assaultcirculating on social media as legal proceedings are now taking place.
Patrols have been stepped up in the Hirael, Maesgeirchen and High Street areas of the city following the incident.
Gwynedd North DI Jamie Owens from North Wales Police said: "We appreciate this incident has caused concern within the community and I would like to reassure residents that increased patrols will continue in the area."
