Local councillors have condemned vandals who targeted a football pitch in Valley.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the fields at Cae Mwd were damaged overnight between Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th February.
Valley Community Council said equipment belonging to Valley FC had also suffered significant damage over time.
Council chairman Neil Tuck said: "We as Valley Community Council, we have invested significant public money into Parc Mwd and successfully applied for grant funding to deliver improvements for the benefit of the whole community."
"It is deeply disappointing when facilities and equipment are damaged in this way, as it undermines the work that has been done to provide a safe, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy."

"If you saw anything suspicious, or have any relevant information about this incident or any of the damage, please report it to North Wales Police and quote O020386."
"I would also strongly urge anyone who witnesses any anti-social behaviour in the park to report it via 101 so it can be logged and followed up appropriately."
Anyone with information should contact North Wales Police on 101 or via the live web chat, quoting reference no. O020386.
