A delivery driver arrested following the death of a pensioner in Bangor has been released under investigation.
An inquest has opened into the death of Susan Hofsteed after she was hit by a Tesco van on Garth Hill after just after midday on Monday lunchtime.
A post-mortem examination found the 79 year-old suffered severe head and brain trauma - she was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor around an hour after the collision.
North West Wales coroner Kate Robinson adjourned the hearing in Caernarfon until a later date while police enquiries continue.
A 33 year-old man questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released under investigation.
Detectives are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
