A 39 year-old man arrested in Bangor has appeared in court on burglary charges.

Jerry Berry was detained on the High Street on Wednesday afternoon amid a heightened police presence, which included a roadblock on all vehicles entering and leaving the city.

The 39 year-old of no fixed abode is accused of five counts of burglary from residential properties and a further charge of burglary from commercial premises.

They're all said to have occurred across the Wrexham, Flintshire and Cheshire areas between 24th June and 15th July.

Berry was also charged with driving offences following a pursuit with police officers in Bangor and driving while disqualified.

He was remanded in custody by Mold magistrates on Friday and will appear before a judge at Mold Crown Court on Friday 15th August.
