A man has died following a multi-vehicle crash on the outskirts of Pwllheli.
Three people were taken to hospital following the collision near Glasfryn Parc at Y Ffôr shortly before 10.15pm on Saturday night.
The Welsh Ambulance Service said four ambulances and one rapid response unit was sent to the scene, along with the Welsh Air Ambulance and a search and rescue helicopter.
Two people were airlifted to the Royal Stoke University Hospital and a third was taken by ambulance.for futher treatment.
The road remained closed overnight while an investigation into the crash began, but it has since reopened.
Earlier, Dwyfor Meirionydd MP, Liz Savile Roberts said she was "deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of a young man in a road accident near Y Ffôr, Pwllheli.
The Plaid Cymru MP added: "My heart goes out to his family and his friends. I am also thinking of those who were injured in this incident. I also thank the emergency services for their response in challenging circumstances."
North Wales Police have yet to release any further details.
