Wales manager Rhian Wilkinson has named her squad for their historic Women's Euros debut in Switzerland.

Angharad James will captain the squad and is one of four centurions that have been selected for thier first ever major tournament in women’s football.

Wales' most capped player Jess Fishlock also features, alongside former captain Sophie Ingle, who missed last season due to an ACL injury.

Wales will face the winners of the last two EURO tournaments in England (2022) and the Netherlands (2017), as well as France who reached the semi-finals in 2017.

The two top placed sides in the group will then progress to the quarter finals.

Wilkinson’s side will begin the tournament in Lucerne against the Netherlands on Saturday 5th July (5pm ko), before travelling to St. Gallen to face France four days later (8pm) and England on Sunday 13th July (8pm).

The FAW says more than 2,000 Welsh fans will be in the Red Wall for each match, with Cymru due to be one of the best supported sides in Switzerland in terms of attendance.

The squad was announced on the summit of the Wyddfa, sitting at 1,085 metres above sea level and overlooking Eryri - in a move designed to align with UEFA's own tagline for the tournament - "the summit of emotions".

Later on Thursday, Rhian Wilkinson will visit CPD Talysarn for a football festival, followed by a Gŵyl Cymru event with a Q&A and a performance by Adwaith in Neuadd Ogwen, Bethesda.

The Wales squad will leave Cardiff Airport on Sunday for a week-long training camp in Portugal to prepare for the tournament before moving to their Swiss team base at Weinfelden in the canton of Thurgau.
