The Menai Suspension Bridge has reopend following another unauthorised crossing by an overweight vehicle.
The 7.5 tonne weight limit, which is in place during maintenance works, was breached again on Tuesday morning - the second time in a fortnight.
Traffic Wales said the bridge was reopened at around 12.15pm adding: "Apologies for the inconvenience but our priority is your safety. We wish to remind you that only vehicles under 7.5t are allowed to use Menai Bridge."
The closure led to heavy traffic on the A55 and the A487 around the Britannia Bridge.
The latest closure comes on the fourth day of the Urdd National Eisteddfod, being held at the Anglesey Showground in Mona, near Gwalchmai.
Ahead of the start of the festival, Urdd organisers said they were aware of recent restrictions and they were in "continuous communication" with local authorities to "minimise any impact" on people travelling to the Maes.
An Urdd spokesperson said on Tuesday: "We are aware that the Menai Bridge has been closed this morning while an inspection is carried out. There is also congestion on the A55 in both directions."
They added: "We ask everyone to allow plenty of extra time when travelling to the Eisteddfod today, and to ensure you have everything you need for the journey and for a day on the Maes."
Queues were reported on the A5 near Mona with North Wales Police urging drivers to plan ahead and expect possible delays in the Gwalchmai area throughout the week.
The B5420 at Penmynydd has also closed following a car fire with drivers being urged to take the A5025 from Four Crosses to Pentraeth and then the B5109 from Pentraeth to Llangefni as a diversion.
