A former Gwynedd councillor has been banned from standing for office for three years.
Iwan Huws resigned as a Plaid Cymru councillor for the Y Felinheli and Bethel ward in September.
The former chief executive of the Eryri National Park was found to have breached the council's code of conduct following a tribunal held by the Wales Adjudication Panel on Wednesday.
The tribunal ruled unaminously to ban him from acting as a member for any relevant authority for three years, although he has the right to appeal through the High Court.
Mr Huws, a former senior maritime officer for Anglesey Council, also stood for Plaid Cymru as their Aberconwy candidate at the 2011 Assembly elections.
Last month, Plaid retained his former Cyngor Gwynedd seat following a by-election, which was won by Gwion Emyr.
