RNLI crews from Holyhead have been honoured with a special award for saving a man's life.
Chris Cowlard issued a Mayday call, which led to both the inshore and all-weather lifeboats being sent to the reef, known as the Platters, where the vessel was smashed up.
The Coastguard lost contact with the lone sailor, who was spotted in the water by the Coastguard helicopter from Caernarffon amid rough sea conditions.

Mr Cowlard, who was picked up by the inshore lifeboat, was suffering from severe hypothermia after being in the water for over half an hour.
He was transferred onto the all-weather lifeboat for treatment, before being winched to safety by a paramedic and taken to hospital, where he made a full recovery.
During the three-hour rescue operation, other vessels in the area were also diverted - including two inbound ferries, who diverted their course and stayed near the yacht's last known location, ready to help if needed.
On Wednesday, many of the crew on board the two lifeboats for the rescue were presented with the Chief Operating Officer's Commendation.
Sam Holliday, head of RNLI for Wales and the West, said: "What the crew did that day was nothing short of remarkable. Mr Cowlard was plucked from the sea just in time, and everyone is delighted that he made a full recovery after the incident."
In the commodation, RNLI chief operating officer Leanna Lakes thanked the crew for their "dedication and service" to Holyhead lifeboat station.
She added: "Throughout the incident, you collectively demonstrated excellent teamwork, seamanship and courage, resulting in a life saved."
"Your ongoing determination and commitment and to saving lives at sea is greatly appreciated."
There was further praise from David Owens, lifeboat operations manager at Holyhead RNLI: "The teamwork on the day was outstanding, involving other vessels in the area and the HM Coastguard helicopter."
"This meant that the crew were able to safely rescue Mr Cowlard in very challenging sea conditions. This is exactly what the volunteers train for, and I am very proud of them."
