An inquest has heard a Pwllheli man died from severe head injuries following a two-vehicle crash last month.

Elis Ogilvy-Bardsley (20) was killed when the black Ford Fiesta he was driving collided with a red Audi A3 on the A499 at Y Ffôr on Saturday 28th March.

Three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A post-mortem examination on Mr Ogilvy Bardsley, who was the only passenger in the Ford car, ruled the provisional cause of death was severe blunt force head injury.

Sarah Riley, assistant coroner for North West Wales, adjourned the inquest until a later date while a police investigation into the crash continues.

Mr Ogilvy Bardsley, who worked at his local Asda store and was preparing to study media at Bangor University, was described by his family as a "a caring and considerate son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin."

An online crowdfunding appeal in aid of his family has now raised more than £22,000 in less than a fortnight.
