A man has been charged after a female shop worker was assaulted in Barmouth.
Police were called to a store in the town at just after 1.30pm on Wednesday lunchtime.
Officers tracked down and located Matthew Harris (48) shortly after a prompt report and description from the victim.
Harris, of Sheffield, was charged with assault by beating and harassment involving a second woman.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody until he appears in court on Friday.
Iwan Jones, District Inspector for Gwynedd South, said: “We take reports of this nature extremely seriously and will relentlessly pursue those responsible in our ongoing efforts to end violence against women and girls.”
“I would like to thank the victims and everyone who supported the investigation, enabling us to present a case to the Crown Prosecution Service.”
