A 33 year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder at a block of flats in Holyhead.
The body of a 53 year-old local man was discovered by paramedics at Llys Watling on London Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene but has yet to be formally named by police.
Martin Ward of Kingsland Road, Holyhead, was remanded in custody when he appeared briefly before Llandudno magistrates on Monday morning.
He is due to appear before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court on Tuesday.
North Wales Police say they are maintaining a presence in the area to reassure local residents and reminding the public to avoid speculation about the case on social media.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Sidney said: “I would like to thank the local community for their assistance whilst our enquiries continue. A policing presence remains in the area for reassurance purposes."
"As charges are now authorised in this investigation, I would urge members of the public not to post anything online that could be prejudicial to future court proceedings or undermine the criminal justice process."
Police are still appealing for anyone with information in connection with the death to call 101 or use the live web chat, quoting reference no. 26000852942.
