MônFM has received three nominations at the 2026 Community Radio Awards.

The local station for Anglesey and Gwynedd is one of three community radio stations from Wales to make this year's shortlist.

Zowie a Dai's popular Drivetime show is up for Entertainment Show of the Year while Elfyn Pritchard is nominated for Volunteer of the Year and former presenter Steffan Huw is one of five finalists for the Young Person of the Year award.

In addition, a special WCRN programme, broadcast in the run up to the Senedd elections, has been nominated in the Election and Political Coverage of the Year category.

The winners will be announced on Saturday 24th October at a ceremony in Birmingham, where the Community Radio Awards will also mark its tenth anniversary.

Last year, MônFM won Gold for its live coverage of Gŵyl Cefni 2025 in the Live Event or OB of the Year category, a year after the station's former chairman Tony Wyn Jones was given a posthumous Honour for his work in the Welsh community radio sector.

Judges said this year's finalists showcase the the breadth of talent, creativity and commitment found throughout the community radio sector in the UK, ranging from innovative programming and journalism to community engagement, training and volunteering.
