Two regneration projects in Holyhead town centre have secured more than £1.3 million in Welsh Government funding.
Plans to buy and redvelop the former magistrates court building on Stanley Street, which was closed ten years ago, have been given a £445,000 grant as part of the Transforming Towns programme.
Meanwhile, £935,700 will be spent on improving access into the town centre and creating multi-functional public spaces.
Work is due to be completed by the end of the year on a wider regeneration scheme aimed at reversing the decline of the town centre - in one of Wales' most deprived areas - which has been amplified by Covid and the cost-of-living crisis.
Other developments have included the reopening of the Empire cinema as a community hub and the transformation of two historic empty buildings into new retail units and flats.
The Welsh Government says twenty regeneration projects in towns across the country will benefit from nearly £31 million of funding.
Local Government Secretary, Jayne Bryant, said: "This is about more than buildings - it is about giving people confidence in the place they call home, attracting jobs to the local area, and making sure that regeneration reaches every corner of Wales."
"The breadth of investment across Wales - from Anglesey to the Valleys - shows our determination that no community is left behind, and that every part of Wales can benefit from renewal."
