For the first time in ten years, Y Bandana will reunite to play at the 2026 National Eisteddfod in Pembrokeshire.
The popular Caernarfon band will headline Lwyfan y Maes on the Friday night of this year's festival, taking place in Llantod - nearly a decade since their last gig in their hometown.
According to bassist Sion Owens, it was "strangely easy" to get the group back together.
"During the rehearsal, it's been lovely to be able to make noise with the lads again. We're sure we'll give everyone a show to remember on the night."
He added: "We are very much looking forward to getting back together after 10 years for this performance on Lwyfan y Maes. Our intention is to take the audience back in time by creating a set full of nostalgia!"
"This is an opportunity for us to relive and celebrate the innocence of youth and bring it to a new generation as well, with the hope of creating memories and having a lot of fun doing so."
"The Eisteddfod has changed over the last decade. The Field Stage is more of a thing and the performances of some of the bands are now the highlight of the week for many."
"It's a different world to how things were when we played on the old performance stage - so we're looking forward to playing on the big professional stage that is there today."
Y Bandana's reunion will also mark their first appearance at the National Eisteddfod since the 2016 festival in Abergavenny - and their tenth in total.
Eisteddfod chief executive Betsan Moses added: "We are extremely proud to be able to confirm today that the Bandana will close on Friday night on the stage."
"With a series of popular songs as part of their collection - they are sure to attract and appeal to a wide audience. Their performance will be a great way to celebrate our week in Pembrokeshire."
